The Winter Feeding Board "Bee Beanie" provides 1" urethane insulation (R6 value) for improved hive temperature regulation. It replaces the inner cover in 10-frame Langstroth hives and holds one or two 1.5 lb fondant patty above the cluster, supporting winter feeding. Install when daytime temperatures fall below 50°F; add the patty in December on mild days.
