Formic Pro™ is a formic acid polysaccharide gel strip for the treatment and control of varroosis caused by the varroa destructor in Honey bees. Unlike Mite Away Quick Strips, Formic Pro™ has a longer shelf life of 24 months and no temperature requirements for st

Formic Pro™ are certified organic and is Safe to use with honey supers. The treatment is placed inside the heart of the hive for either a 14-day or 20-day treatment period with efficacy ranging between 83-97%. This quick, ready to use treatment will kill the varroa mites under brood cap as well as the mites on the bees.

DAYTIME TEMPERATURE HIGHS NEED TO BE BETWEEN 50°F(10°C) AND 85°F(29.5°C) DURING THE FIRST 3 DAYS OF TREATMENT.

I think I liked the Formic Pro more than my bees do (that stuff is toxic!), but hopefully the mites will like it even less. My hives seem to be thriving and my hope is that they will be strong enough to make it through winter.
